Welcome to Haandtryk!
Haandtryk has been part of Oslo's story since 1837, making it the city's oldest pub and restaurant. In 1838, Norwegian poet Henrik Wergeland met his future wife, Amalie Sofie Bekkevold, here. Since then, generations of locals and visitors have gathered at Haandtryk to eat, drink, celebrate, and spend time together.
Today, we're still located in the same historic surroundings, with a cosy courtyard and plenty of character. Haandtryk is a place where Oslo's history meets everyday life—a relaxed spot for good food, good drinks, and good company.
